Me as your therapist
Started working world early, moved countries, changed jobs, lost identity, friendships, people. I think that to be young person in this world has never been that difficult as it is now. We live in boomerang/yoyo culture where demands are high, there is no reasurance of security in our choices and focus is extreme on self actualisation but our basic needs are often ignored. I decided to create betterthings.space to help young people slow down and treat their life in less anxious way. I understand it is scary to feel always behind, compare yourself with your peers, have that FOMO feeling all the time. It is tiring and lonely. I want to hold space, where you can relax, get back to basics and move forward by focusing at one thing at the time.
It is important that in our sessions I meet you exactly where you are. It is okay to have messiness and chaos in your room and your look. We are making space and time only for you, I want it to be your special space where we share a cuppa and creating a plan together to make things a bit better than they are now. My approach is person centered, relevant and realistic and most importantly, less lonely.
My Qualifications
I hold a First-Class degree in Childhood Studies (BSc) and a Higher Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.
Alongside my therapeutic work, I am a trained job coach, supporting neurodivergent young people to find and sustain paid employment.
I am continuing to develop my practice and plan to begin further counselling training this October.

My Approach
Me as a human being
I’m working on being more consistent and less embarrassed about things I’m not naturally good at
Every Monday, I go to painting sessions with two women I met on a beginners’ course, we mostly laugh at how “bad” our paintings are, and it’s honestly one of my favourite parts of the week
I love walking, even when there’s no destination, I once did the Camino Inglés just to get a certificate, which still makes me laugh
I’m a big fan of dog‑watching
I regularly forget to drink water
I binge silly shows and American crime documentaries
I have a mild obsession with white chocolate
I enjoy joining random meetups and offline activity groups
I recently bought an app blocker to reduce my social media time
I’m originally from Lithuania and have lived in the UK for 8 years
I volunteer with the Womenkind charity as a befriender
I talk to my plants
